I am an assistant professor of management at the Carl H. Lindner College of Business at the University of Cincinnati. My research investigates the factors that encourage or inhibit the potency of organizational teams, including leadership, decision-making, collaboration, well-being, and culture. I have published on these topics in top-tier academic outlets such as Academy of Management Discoveries, Academy of Management Review, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, and I serve on the editorial review boards of Journal of Organizational Behavior and Academy of Management Discoveries. I collaborate in research with other management scholars as well as with healthcare researchers that are applying management concepts.

In the classroom or the boardroom, I combine my research with the larger body of evidence-based management concepts to improve organizational and leadership practices. I teach graduate courses on leadership, management, high-performing teams, and organizational research methods, and I have earned multiple teaching awards at the University of Cincinnati and the University of Washington. I also provide executive education seminars and consulting for a wide range of organizations including Valvoline, DHL, Kroger, Microsoft, and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.

I earned my Ph.D. in management from the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington (Seattle) and my MBA from the Lundquist College of Business at the University of Oregon.
